Throw-Back-Thursday #3: Sua-Ko-Sua & The Chinese Powder

Here's another and hopefully the last photo of me in a dance number during commencement exercises. As far as I remember, we are planning to have a ballroom dance number, swing in particular. We already practiced some of the steps but our adviser refused and asked our choreographer to have folk dance (again).

Reducing Food Cravings

Have you ever wonder that even you had enough food, you still crave for more and doesn’t feel you are already full? This problem may lead to weight gain so better try to observe if you are guilty of the following reasons:

Taking too much softdrinks or canned foods.
Most softdrinks and sweetened beverages are high in fructose. Fructose cheats our body that we are not yet full by blocking our body’s ability to use leptin (a “sanitation hormone” that dictates our mind that we had already enough food). This results you to crave more food.
On the other hand, canned foods are high in bisphenol-A (BPA) and based on recent studies, it also causes an abnormal flows of leptin that leads to food cravings too.

Matt the Duck Chaser

Last week, we got home earlier than the usual. I want to roam around our subdivision to have some practice as aspiring photographer. As usual I had with me my photography buddy.

While looking for a subject, we saw a group of ducks. As usual Matt, is very fond of live animals since he can only see them in photos and videos. What else would you expect to see in urban or suburban areas? Hehehe.

Throw-Back-Thursday #2: Checkered and Knee-Socks

Here we go again! Two years after the Name Game dance number but this time, folk dance known as "Tiklos".

I really don't know why our adviser chose this type of outfit for the folk dance. Just like my sister's comment, "Ayaw mo yatang mag-medyas." LOL.

Weekend Reflections: Strive for Value

Just after father and son's haircut, here is something to think at from a famous scientist, Albert Einstein.

I remember one of the speakers on a seminar I attended said that you must think of how people will look at you when you are lying on the coffin rather than how they will look at your achievements.

Have a nice weekend!

Opening Your Third Eye

When they said that you have a third eye opened, it means that you are able to see things and others that cannot be seen by a normal person. Most associate third eye as a paranormal ability to see ghost, spirits and others which makes me think that I don’t want to open my third eye.

Lately, I tried to search on how to open third eye but I discovered something. It is far beyond the perception of having a third eye. Many say that third eye is a symbol of enlightened state of consciousness wherein one can perceive the world in near supernatural way but this does not mean that you are a psychic individual having supernatural powers. It only means that you can control your mind and emotions and has a deeper sense of intuition. Also, this is considered as the most powerful energy center of a human.

Screenshot from the movie
This movie starred by Zac Efron as Logan and Taylor Schilling as Beth. Released in 2012, this is based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks with the same title.

Logan is a US marine assigned in Iraq. After the night raid by his platoon, he saw a photo of a smiling woman and kept it. He also thought of it as his guardian angel since he survived from unfortunate events.

When Logan returned to Colorado, he had a hard time to adjust at home so he decided to leave and find the girl in the photo to thank her. The only clue he had was the lighthouse in the photo which happened to be located in Louisiana.

Matt’s Funny Homeschooling Experiences: Add “s” to Make It Plural

Early Morning Study
(just before we left for work)
I just wonder how Matt learned adding “s” on plural form of things. We, or should I say, Mommy, didn’t taught him about it, perhaps her Tita does. However he applies adding “s” to everything. Here's one of Mommy and Matt's conversations.
