I’ve been into online shopping because it really gives convenience. Just open your computer – laptop, tablet or even smartphones, and you are already on your way to shop, wherever, whenever!
However, with lots of online shops available, I still have a hard time searching for the best quality with, of course, best price.
Then I heard another online shop that is now available in the Philippines – iprice. This online shop is also available in other Asian countries like Thailand, Hong Kong, Vietman and Malaysia.

I Need Motivation

A throwback photo (taken 2007)
At the start of the year, one of my goals is to loose some pounds. From my current weight of 82 kilos, I want to target the 72-kilo mark or at least like the one in the picture.

On the first two weeks, I was very eager and motivated to do some cardio and belly toning activities like dancing, push-ups and crunches. I also reduced my rice intake to lessen the calories I had.

After that first two weeks, I notice some changes. My biceps and shoulders started to have shape, my tummy shows somewhat an improvement.

As of the moment, I am starting to my loose interest in doing those activities. I seems hard for me to wake up early (4am) for the exercise. Though I can survive with the diet, the effect is not that much.

Last year, Mommy and I planned to purchase running shoes and do jogging or running for at least 30 minutes a day. But this didn’t materialized due to some priorities.

Family Days Sunday: Work in Progress + The Balong Malalim + Masaganang Dinner

Inside Balong Malalim
Matt used to take home two small stars in three consecutive days. According to her Tita, he didn’t behave well in class. Matt is still playful and usually provoked by playful classmates too.

To keep him behave in class, we made an agreement. If he brought home big stars for the whole week, he will get a treat - playing in “Balong Malalim”. Also, Matt and her Tita Rona made an agreement that if he fails to brought home big stars, the Youtube application on TV will be removed.

The following day, Matt’s teacher was surprised. He behave well in school and from then on he keeps on bringing home two big stars daily for two consecutive weeks.

How To Encourage Your Kids To Draw

From the Little Prince (Elephant ate by Boa)
Since the age of three, he started to draw. There are times I cannot figure out what are in his paper pads until he claims it to be cars, trees, flowers, and even his favorite super heroes like Iron Man and Spider Man.

Naalala ko tuloy ang “The Little Prince”. A kid draws something and asks adults what it is. All replied it was a hat. But the kid told then it was a boa constrictor that ate an elephant.

With this here are some tips I can share on how to develop your kid’s ability to draw based from own experience.

Introduce at young age.
Learning at young age is a good option. This will help them develop their grip on writing instruments.

As early as age of two, we introduced pen and papers to Matt. Also, one of her Ninangs send a Mega Sketchers where he started to develop his drawing skills.

Republic Act 10586: Anti-Drunk/Drugged Driving Act

On my way to Tarlac last Thursday, there's a heavy traffic approaching Angeles Exit. This scenario is unusual unless there is an on-going road repair or an accident. On the site, a delivery truck that completely turned was trying to put in place by a crane.

What are the common reasons for such road mishaps here in our country?

Source: philStar.com
Topping the list is DRUNK DRIVING followed by over speeding, mechanical malfunctions, lost brakes, overtaking, abrupt maneuvers, and bad turns and reverse. (MoneyMax.ph)

Since Drunk Driving is the most common reason for road accidents, the government has released the Republic Act 10586 or know as Anti-Drunk/Drugged Driving Act. The main goal of this act is to protect the motoring public and ensure safety of the pedestrians. Penalties are also made steeper like 3 months to 20 year in prison, fine of 20,000 to 500,000 pesos, and a suspension or permanent revocation of driver's license.

Unboxing Brother DCP-J100 Printer + Brother's Jolly Delights

One day, Matt has an assignment. He needs to paste a family picture in their workbook.

Though we have lots of family pics in my camera, we have no printer at home. The only one available is already placed in a photo frame and he was two months old.

No choice but to get that photo and used it for his homework.

With this, we decided to buy one so when the time Matt needs printing works for his school projects and activities, we will not encounter the same problem.

Mommy is also thinking of accepting made-to-order (MTO) invitations where a nice printer is a must.

After searching for some models and brands, reading reviews and feed backs, I finally made a choice for the right unit. I choose the Brother DCP-J100 3-in-1 printer (scanner, printer and photocopier).

Brother DCP-J100

I picked this brand and model mainly because the ink cartridge is individually installed. Once you ran out of one color, you can purchase the cartridge for that particular color alone unlike other brands that you have to buy one cartridge with three colors even other colors are still available.

The printer will run even  only the black cartridge is installed.

Scanning is also easy. Just press the scan button, pick for the scanning method. It will automatically connect to the computer and just press the start button, colored or graysacle, for the scanning to proceed . Scanning methods are: scan to e-mail, scan to file or scan to image.

With the photocopier, you can directly choose enlarger or reducer from 100% to 47% or fit to page. It can perform photocopying up to 99 pages per run. Some units are limited to 20 pages per run only.

Enlarge and reduce option

The unit is connected to the computer via USB port attached inside the printer right under the scanning/photocopying platform. Storing of the connector when not in use is not a problem. There is an ample space beside the port where you can place the cord.

It has a detachable paper rack. Just place the paper and you’re on the go.
