Facing the Impossible

Earlier, I told Mommy that I have this feeling of being overwhelmed with my work.

I have been handling the same department on most of our processing plant here in North  Luzon. The most recent is a rendering plant in Bataan and another plant will soon rise in Tarlac. Wheew!

I am already thinking how my weekly schedules are to cover all these plants in one week. Mommy told me that I must be grateful for these and I should never complain about my work.

Look to this as another opportunity rather than an additional task.

As I read today's reading in Our Daily Bread about facing the impossible, I got inspired.

I need not worry about what I will be facing in the future even if seems impossible to deal with.

HE will always find ways just put all your trust in HIM.

Nothing is impossible with the Lord!

Our Week Long Vacation

Actually, it is not a long week since we officially started our vacation on Thursday. We spent it in our hometown.

Matthew was already there right since March because their school started their vacation earlier.

We still have worked on Wednesday. Mommy and I traveled right after our work.

The travel is smooth except for the traffic in some towns that are having prusisyon. Baliwag and San Ildefonso are just two of them that we need to take a detour just to stay away from the traffic.

We departed Sta. Maria, Bulacan at 6 PM and reached Nueva Ecija at 12 midnight. I felt sleepy already which make our travel three stop-overs to perk me up.

During our stay in our home town, I did several things that I missed.

Food.
Eating with bare hands is a must when you have these food served for breakfast or lunch.

I got an opportunity to cook pinapaitang baka too.

Tahong or mussels is definitely great.

Strolling.
On Friday, there is "Stations of the Cross" along the main streets of our Alma Mater. We decided to wake up early to join the said activity. Unfortunately, Matthew is not feeling well.

We just take a stroll in one of the places I missed visiting - "Lingap Kalikasan Park" or once known as "Little Baguio". There are more trees now compared before making the place looks like a forest without wild animals.

Here are some photos:

We also make a short stop in CLSU Lagoon and feed the fishes.

And Rizal Park.

Rest.
This is my favorite part of the vacation. Having a sleep of 6-8 hours without worrying about something is definitely great. A perfect time to recharge and prepare for the upcoming week. Just like what Mommy said in one of her posts.

“It was a well-spent break from work. No swimming, no outing. But full rest and sleep, and quiet time with the family. Now we are recharged and ready for more work.”

And since Matthew is not feeling well, talagang pahinga.
By the way, here are other photos taken during our stroll in CLSU.  These pictures were framed using ASUS Selfie Phone.

On our way home, we encounter series of traffic. At this point listening to upbeat music either new or old remixed by famous DJ's using special gadgets like dj controllers check it out at GuitarCenter is a nice way to ease the boredom.

Our travel time going back home is a bit shorter than previous.

How did you spend your week-long vacation?

Spin Go: A Mini Stunt Car Unboxed

Matthew started his vacation in Nueva Ecija as soon as their class ended last month. After a week, we were advised by the school that he will be joining the Recognition Day since he is one of the “With Honors” awardees.

Mommy and I decided to surprise him something as a reward.

We picked this Spin Go Mini Stunt Car
toy car, car, toys, spin go, toys for boys

He really wanted to have this set every time we visited the Toy Kingdom and this is the perfect time to let him have this.

The package includes.

A car.

The car has a powerful engine that can reach a scale speed of 190KPH and can travel up to 35 meters.  Battery is not required for these cars to run.

Only one car is included in each box but you can collect more. Each additional car cost 119 pesos.

A loop track and a base.

Here is where a high-speed car can make a 360˚-loop stunt.

A merge track, straight and curve tracks.

The merge track is where you are going to put the car that is ready for the challenge and travel the entire track.

A lane change device.

The car will experience a change lane stunt upon reaching this part of the track.

An ejection device.

Once the car hit this spot, it will be ejected from the track.

A blast pot with paint pots and traffic cones.
After the car is ejected from the track, this blast pot with paint pots and traffic cone will the next target.

The track can be easily assembled and modified.

Let us start the challenge!

You need to reset the lane change device first. Then, press down the ejection device arm to stuck into the groove.

Fastly slide the car from back to front and put the car on the merge track and let it run.

Matthew really enjoys playing his new toy. He even changes the tracks into the way he likes. What he asked now is to buy the other 7 cars to complete the 10 available Spin Go Cars.

We got this toy at Toy Kingdom for PhP799.00.

Next year, if he continues to excel in class, instead of toys, we might consider item like music instruments at musiciansfriend.com or something connected to arts.
