Wordless Wednesday: No More Matthew Jumping on the Bed

“I think that the best thing we can do for our children is to
allow them to do things for themselves, allow them to be strong,
allow them to experience life on their own terms,
allow them to take the subway...
let them be better people,
let them believe more in themselves.”

Family Day Sunday: Father and Son Bonding

After attending the mass, Mommy together with MIL went to the doctor’s clinic for the check-up while Matt and I went to World of Fun in Waltermart, Sta. Maria, Bulacan to spent a Father and Son Bonding.

After I bought tokens, Matt was not beside me and found him already riding on the mini-train which he called “Thomas” waiting for me to put the first token on the slot.

“Momless” Days for Matt and I

Last week, Mommy had a 3-day seminar in KL. On these days, I was the Mom and Dad for our Little Bossing which became a great father-and-son bonding. Will it be the same aso’t pusa for the two of us or it will be different?

On the first day, as expected, Matt is hyperactive. When I arrived home, he was playing  with one of our neighbors. He immediately asked me where's Mommy after seeing I was alone in the car. I told him she was in KL and asked him to behave while she was not around Good that he obeyed everything I asked him to do. Unlike when Mommy’s around, hyper talaga. Just like what his Ate Jeni said “Ganyan lang naman po sya kapag anjan ang Mommy nya.”

Math-you and My Destiny

One of telenovelas that we are waiting everynight is GMA’s “My Destiny” starred by Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana.

Tom played the role of Matthew and Carla played Grace. Since then, our “little bossing” Matthew claimed to be him. He used to play the guitar while singing the theme song.

Matt’s Funny Faces and Lines

Whenever I took photos at home – dishes, MTOs and others, Matt will immediately approach me and say: “Daddy ako naman picturan mo.” To please him, I will divert the glass to him and take few shots but he will never look at the lens and make a nice pose. Instead he will do wacky faces or sometimes look in different direction. Kanino kaya nagmana? I will post a throwback photos next week as a proof.

Here are some of his wacky photos:

Father and Son Bonding: The Massage

Matt is a very hyperactive kid. He will not go to sleep unless Mommy and I will. Sometimes, even the lights were already off as long as he knows that we are still awake he will will not go to his sleep.

On Mommy’s post about her guilt, she mentioned that we used to make our little angel busy so we can do our crochet stuffs. But once he gets bored, ayan na naman sya magpapapansin. Mahilig syang makipagkaladyaan and doesn’t bother if he got hurt.

Family Day Sundays: Busy Weekend

Last Sunday has been a bit productive for me compared to other Sundays. Aside from crocheting, I did carwashing, gardening and of course cooking. By the way, Matt and I went to the barber shop early to have his haircut. Two months na yata since his last haircut. Here he is:

Lord Patawad, Daddy Patawad…

One day, while having our breakfast, I got angry with Matt for being makulit. So I told him to move out of the dining table, stand on the corner and face the wall, which is one of worst punishments to him. He refused and just ran out of the door and stayed at the terrace playing his cars.

After a couple of minutes, we were surprised to hear him sing.

Lord, patawad.....
Ako’y makasalanan,
Makasalanang nilalan…

Throwback Thursday: The Different Faces of Matthew

Looking back at Matt’s photos, I realized that he really looks different since he was born until now. Some say he keeps on being gwapo as he grows. Last night, I showed him these photos and he didn't recognized that this is him. He just say, "Cute ng baby Daddy o!"

Father and Son Photos

I just noticed that Matt and I had only few photos together. I think I had to accept the fact that once you had the cam on your hand, you will have a few chances of having caught by your own lens. Well, unless you always had your tripod with you wherever you go.

Here are just some photos of me and Matt:

Matt is Away for the First Time (An Update)

Just like what I said in my previous post, we are really worried that Matt will be away from us for the first time. We kept on calling Mama and ask how Matt is doing. To our surprise, Mama and Papa told us “Hindi man lang kayo maalala. Hindi nga kayo hinahanap.” Maybe he is, but he looked for us but cannot express what he really means or he is just busy playing with his cousin Gwen who is really fond of him.

Matt is Away for the First Time

Last night BIL told us that he will go home to Nueva Ecija this afternoon. We ask him if he can bring MIL, Matt, and Ate Dianne (his nanny) and we will just follow there on the 31st. He agreed with the plan so we texted Mama that Matt will be with them tonight. They are very happy to hear the news because they will be with Matt for longer time.

At first we are still having doubts and worries especially Mommy if we will continue with the plan since this is the first time he will be away from us for more than a day. I know parents, like us will have the same thinking and worries.

Ang Batang Palusot

Friday night, Matt was so kulit so when they went upstairs, I told him not to watch TV and have a sleep already. After few hours I went back and still Matt is wide awake. Then he sat beside me telling something.

Matt: Nuod ako TV. Got to Believe. Saka nuod ako tablet. McQueen. (I watched Got to Believe on TV then I watched McQueen on tablet)
Me: (with a serious voice) Di ba sabi ko sa’yo hindi ka na manunuood ng TV? Bakit ka nanuod? Makulit ka yata ah? (Haven’t I told you not to watch TV? Why you still do that?)
Mommy: Di ba sabi ko sayo wag ka maingay? Manunuod ka pero wag mo sasabihin sa Daddy mo. Bakit mo sinabi? (Haven’t I told you to keep quiet and don’t tell Daddy that you watched TV?)

Paparapapa...Love Ko 'To

The other day, our little angel doesn't want us to leave for work. As usual, bolahan na naman.

Me: Lika dito. Anu gustong pasalubong? (Come here. What pasalubong do you want?)
Matt: Ice cream.
Me: Sige, papasok na kami ni Mommy at bibili kami mamaya ng ice cream. (Okay, Mommy and I will go to work and will buy ice cream afterwards.)

Then, he simply gets his stool, step on it as he watches us leave while waving and giving his famous flying kiss. It is really sad to look at your kids watching you while leaving for work.

Matt in Farmville

One nice thing living in the province is that you can grow and harvest your own veggies especially during rainy season.

At first, Matt was hesitant to pick because he thought it was huge worm, but when Papa told him that it was sitaw (string beans), he started picking on his own.

Throw-Back-Thursday: Matt - The Shaolin Kid

When Matt turned 1, Mommy and I decided to make "kalbo" as his first haircut. Many said that this will help his hair grow thicker. Here he is after his first haircut:

Matt the Duck Chaser

Last week, we got home earlier than the usual. I want to roam around our subdivision to have some practice as aspiring photographer. As usual I had with me my photography buddy.

While looking for a subject, we saw a group of ducks. As usual Matt, is very fond of live animals since he can only see them in photos and videos. What else would you expect to see in urban or suburban areas? Hehehe.

Matt’s Funny Homeschooling Experiences: Add “s” to Make It Plural

Early Morning Study
(just before we left for work)
I just wonder how Matt learned adding “s” on plural form of things. We, or should I say, Mommy, didn’t taught him about it, perhaps her Tita does. However he applies adding “s” to everything. Here's one of Mommy and Matt's conversations.
