How to Make Black Background Using Photoscape

I posted an edited photo of Matt in the other blog which turned the background into black. Tet of Cute and Dainty asked me how I did it.  Here it is:

I used Photoscape software in all of my photoediting works. You can download it for free HERE.

After installation, just go to “Editor” option and select the photo you want to edit.

Click the “Tool” tab.

Select “Effect Brush”. On the option, select the “Darken High” option.

Place the cursor on the part of the photo you want to be black and brush several times (be sure to release the mouse button every time you brush) until it turned black.

For the areas near the subject, zoom the photo so you can carefully brush it without damaging the subject. You can change the area to appear on the screen by moving the selected area on the photo at the lower right area.

You can change the brush size by rotating the wheel or by click the size you want on the menu box. And finally, save the finished project as a new object or replace the original one.

You really need patience and exert extra effort in doing this but you will be more than satisfied after you finished editing.

What are the tools you used in photo editing? care to share some tips?
