Family Day Sundays: MTOs to Finish + Kite flying + Disaster Cooking and Baking

Mommy already made a post on kite flying and MTOs that we need to be finish.

Father-and-Son Bonding: Kite Flying and Baking
I made the DIY kite (I will make a post on this next time) of our Little Boss even there are still lots of crochet items that need to be done. This will not only make me get some rest from crochet but an opportunity for a father-and-son bonding too.

Added to the kite-flying, Matt and I had another bonding moment over the weekend. I asked Matt to assist me in molding the the dough. He asked me if I can make one of his favorites, Cars. Good that Mommy bought some bread dies which I used to as molds in making cookies.

Aside from cookies, I managed to make some foods like cupcakes and kalabasa leche flan. Unfortunately, both resulted into a "disaster".

Family Day Sunday: Father and Son Bonding

After attending the mass, Mommy together with MIL went to the doctor’s clinic for the check-up while Matt and I went to World of Fun in Waltermart, Sta. Maria, Bulacan to spent a Father and Son Bonding.

After I bought tokens, Matt was not beside me and found him already riding on the mini-train which he called “Thomas” waiting for me to put the first token on the slot.

Like Father, Like Son: Laptop and Crochet

Matt got interested in his educational computer toy (purchased by Mommy from Lazada) again.

Before we left home for work one morning, he reminded me: “Daddy, yung battery ng laptop ko ha?”. When we arrived home from work, he excitedly asked: “Daddy, yung battery ng laptop ko, nasan na?” while searching it from my bag.

Happily, he asked me to install immediately in his laptop. At first it didn’t work since one of the springs is already corroded due to the leak from the old battery that was not removed few months ago. I just scratched the spring and voila! His laptop works again.

Father and Son Bonding: The Massage

Matt is a very hyperactive kid. He will not go to sleep unless Mommy and I will. Sometimes, even the lights were already off as long as he knows that we are still awake he will will not go to his sleep.

On Mommy’s post about her guilt, she mentioned that we used to make our little angel busy so we can do our crochet stuffs. But once he gets bored, ayan na naman sya magpapapansin. Mahilig syang makipagkaladyaan and doesn’t bother if he got hurt.

Confession of a Dad

One sunday, while crocheting, Matt approached me and keeps on pulling my hands. He wants me to play with him outside but I still continue on crocheting. Then he suddenly said something that makes me stop and think for a while.

Matt: Daddy, maya na gagantsilyo ha! (Daddy, do your crochet later, okay?)

For a two year old boy, he may not know the meaning of what he said and it is up to you on how you respond to such statement. Hearing those words makes me feel guilty and thought that he is just asking my attention even for a while.

I immediately set my things aside and go out and have a walk with him.

Weekend Kulitan

Last Saturday, Matt and I went on his daily afternoon walk around the subdivision since his Tita was not around while Mommy was left at home folding clothes. Of course, this gave me another chance of taking some photos for my Captured Moments.

We went to the clubhouse as he requested and continue walking into the swing. Unfortunately, somebody’s using it, so we just sit down for a moment before continues our walk. He keeps on saying “Doon, doon pa.” (There, let's go there) pointing where to go as if he was the one guiding our way. Perhaps this is where they go every day.

Weekend Reflections: Dad the Best Example

Source
My attention was caught by this photo – a sort of warning.

I admit that I am not perfect. I commit mistakes. I made some troubles. But no matter how many people they will meet as they grow-up, still, I want, even not the perfect, but the best father in the eyes of my kids (if given a chance to have another) who leads by example.

Good day!

Mechanical Engineer? (Part 2)

Before, Matt is trying to fix his ride-on toy, (you may check it HERE) but now he is with the real thing. While Papa is fixing Jaby, Matt hurried to him and pick up the screw drivier and try to imitate what Papa does.
Will he really be a mechanical engineer or he is just trying to explore things?
