2014: The Recap

It’s new year again! New life. New Challenges. And more NEWs. Before that, I just want to share some of the highlights in my 2014.

JANUARY

Witnessed the Christmas Light display. We are just in time because the next day, they started dismantling it.

FEBRUARY

One of my kumpares requested me to be their official wedding photographer.

Year of the wooden horse was great to us, in general. Thank God for all the blessings that came.

MARCH

This is my birth month and look what I got from Mommy - a new steamer for my kitchen adventures.

I also made a very challenging crochet project: The Soccer Ball (you can check to the pattern HERE.). I am very happy knowing that our customer liked it.

APRIL

I seldom won on giveaways online but this time I was lucky to get a box of Red Ribbon Macaroons.

MAY

It's Mommy's birth month. I can't remember if I give her a gift. Parang wala kasi hindi ko maalala.  Pati yata Mother’s day gift wala.  Bawi na lang next time.

We had our company's yearly outing at Bethel Hot Spring Resort in Pansol, Calamba, Laguna. Looking forward to our next outing.

JUNE

A very nice Father's Day gift to level-up my kitchen adventures.

Imarflex Oven

I used it on my first attempt to bake chocolate cupcakes for our Little Boss'  Cars-themed Birthday Party.

On the same day, Matthew was officially declared as school boy! Bilis talaga ng panahon.

JULY

We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary, 11th year as lovers. Like Mommy said, we just stayed and enjoyed our mini-celebration at home.

AUGUST

Mommy had a business trip in KL which brings more father and son bonding to me and Matthew. Though she’s thousand miles away, we still manage to keep in touch through video call. Thanks to Skype!

SEPTEMBER

I got a chance to re-visit Rizal's house with a side trip to Calamba Baywalk. On Matthew's field trip, we are supposed to visit the house but we arrived late of the time agreed in the said location. Blame it to EDSA's traffic jam!

OCTOBER

Matthew was chosen to represent his school in a singing contest. This is his first time to perform on stage.

On the following week, his class performed a dance number during their School’s foundation day.

Finally, I got the first item on my wishlist – a new phone.

Samsung Core2 Duo

On this month, we received a bad news that we will face a problem could affect us financially. I know HE will help us get through this. Sabi ko nga: Pera lang yan. Kikitahin din yan. Just keep your faith on HIM.

NOVEMBER

I was lucky to be qualified to share a bag of my blood that will help save someone's life.

DECEMBER

This has been the most awaited month of the year because of the Holiday Season.

Before the season’s celebration, we visited some places in Laguna on Matt's School Field trip. This is also my first time in Enchanted Kingdom. I will make a separate story on this.

Parties everywhere.

I also got a second item on my wishlist - a new TV set that replaces our 4-year-old CRT TV. The third item might be on my birthday.

But above of all, we celebrated the most important person in this month – the birth of Jesus Christ. On this day, we went to Divine Mercy Shrine in Sta. Rosa, Marilao, Bulacan. This was the only place we visited that day.

Matt was very happy to see Santa throwing goodies at the terrace after the last morning mass.

Though there are many challenges encountered,  I still am very thankful for the year 2014. I just kept on being positive that we can handle it with the help of HIM. And just like the old saying: "Ang problema, parang bisita lang yan. Nakikiraan lang bahay, hindi nakikitira." Just walk by faith.

That’s how my 2014 was and looking forward to a very prosperous 2015!
