After six year, the TV Show Glee
has finally came to an end. I followed this TV series from the first season.
Ironically I am not updated. I used to watch this after every season ends. It
is better to have it continuously rather than waiting for each episode to be shown
on TV.
Just like the season finale, the
final episode was shown last March 20 but I just started watching the first
episode last week. The final season has 13 episodes.
Though
most of the pioneering casts are present, former members from the previous seasons like Jake, Marley and Ryder are not featured or even mentioned in this season. The New Direction is composed of new faces like Roderick, Spencer, Jane, Mason, Madison, Myron and Alistair. In order to participate in the Sectionals, Regionals and Nationals, they mixed up with the Dalton Academy's Warblers.
Episode 12 is more of a
flashback but this brings me back how the main characters started to join the
glee club forming The New Direction. It also shown the first song
they performed in the auditorium– Don’t Stop Believing with Finn Hudson.

The last episode is about
saying goodbyes showing how the pioneer characters went through after winning
the 2015 Show Choir Nationals. It also peaked what happened to them in year
2020.
Sue Sylvester became the Vice
President of the United States. William Schuester became the Principal of McKinley
High School which became school for arts and music. Sam Evans became the new coach of The New Directions. Rachel Berry continued and graduated her study at NYADA, married Jessie
St. James, agreed to be the surrogate mother of Blaine and Kurt and won Tony
Awards. Tina Cohen Chang and Artie Abrams are dating. Tina was starred in a
film directed by Artie that will be shown at the Slamdance Film Festival. Kurt
Hummel and Blaine Anderson became theater actors with an advocate about
acceptance and equality.
Also, the Mckinley High
Auditorium was renamed in honor with Finn Hudson.
There are things that I didn’t
like about this season. The rage between Sue and William still continues. Same-sex
relationships are focused like marriages of Brit and Santana, Kurt and Blaine,
and the new love couple Spencer and Alistair. This has been the main issue in most episodes. Sue Sylvester still continue to show unbelievable acts to destroy the glee club, which is common in all seasons. Also, some of the songs they interpreted in this season are not that familiar to me.
Though the series is good and
perfect for some music-lovers, some has come to an end.
Are you a GLEEk too?
