“Sour”-graping Yantok

If you are looking for literally sour fruit, you better try this one – yantok fruit. Just by looking at the photo, nangangasim na ako.

It was years ago when I last ate this one. I can see most of them in supermarkets but they are bit pricey. So when I saw it in our hometown’s market, I immediately grabbed a small bag of it.

To reduce and balance the sour taste I usually it dipped in vinegar but plain salt with sili will definitely do.


By the way, if you are not familiar with this one, it is the fruit of rattan plant. In Ilocano, it was called “lit-tuko”.
