Movie Sharing: The Vow

Screen shot from the movie
This is based on the actual relationship of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter written on the book entitled “The Vow”.

This is a story of a couple name Paige (Rachel McAdams) and Leo (Channong Tatum). They get got into car accident resulting to the loss of Paige’s memory. She can’t remember that she was married to Leo. All she can remember is that she was engaged to Jeremy but did not know that she dumped her just before the marriage.

After Paige’s physical recovery in the hospital, her parents decided to bring her home but Leo still insist to get her back to their home which Paige agreed because she think it can help her regain her memory.

Leo, who really loves her, keeps on doing everything to help restore her memory but Paige find it difficult to remember everything.  He keeps on giving evidences to prove that they really knew each other and they got married. He even courts her again but Paige seems to love Jeremy rather than him. Until one day he gave up and thought that if they are really together, it will happen. During their goodbyes, Paige told Leo: “I hope one day, I can love the way you love me.” Leo replied that she already did it and he knows she can do it again. He filled divorce because Paige’s father asked him to do it even he doesn’t want to.

Paige went back to law school but seems she want something that she can’t explain. Until one day, she met her best friend and asked sorry for what she did. She found that her best friend had an affair to her dad which was the reason for leaving their home and moving to the city and transferred to an art school rather than law continuing her law studies where she met Leo.

Again, she moved back in the city and rented an apartment and returned to the arts school. After six months, she again met Leo in one of their favourite CafĂ© Mnemonic. She told him that she was in the city for already six months and asked Leo’s friend out to talk about many things in their life as couple. From then on, they retain their relationship.

They got married again and have 2 kids, but Paige did not regain her memory.

Here is Paige’s vow:
“I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness, and to have the patience that love demamds. To speak when words are needed, and to share the silence when they’re not, and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.”

Here is Leo’s vow:
“I vow to fiercely love you in all your forms, now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love. I vow to love you no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find a way back to each other.”

This movie is really perfect for the valentines even this was shown last year.
