My professional license had already expired for almost a year this March. Good thing I am not using my license in my work since there are other chemists having their valid licenses.
Renewing professional license at PRC Office in Manila is really costly (transportation and meals) and tiring (considering I reside here in Bulacan). Furthermore, you are forced to file a leave from your work since they are open during office hours only.
I heard good news about renewing and claiming my PRC ID. All I have to do is go to any SM Business Centers during mall hours together with a photocopy of my current PRC ID and of course renewal fee. I don’t need to file leave from my work because I can do it even on weekends or after office hours. Also, you don’t need to bring passport size photos with name tag because a photo of you will be captured right on the spot. IDs can be claimed 7 days after renewal.
This is a great innovation of the E-services by the Professional Regulation Commission. I can now renew my professional license hassle-free.
I am planning to renew my license before my birthday since I am also renewing my driver’s license at SM Marilao. Renewing 2 licenses at a time.
For other branches, you may visit the nearest SM Mall in your area and inquire about this e-service by the PRC.
